We often have guest artists come join us in worship. These artists come with a passion for the Lord
and leading people in worship. Some are from here in the Denver area while others come from the other
side of the world. To see who has come to help us worship see the Guest
Artists page.
Choir practice trax can be found here.
Opportunities to get involved
* Worship Team is made up of instrumentalists
(piano, bass, drums, guitar, horns, violin, flute, etc.) and vocalists
(lead, soprano, alto, tenor). A commitment to the worship team means taking
part 1-2 times per month. We practice on Wednesday nights. On Sunday
morning the team rehearses together at 7:00am and leads worship in both morning
services. If you are interested in joining the worship team please contact pastor Ryan
This is an auditioned group.

* Adult Choir rehearses Wednesdays, 6:30-8:45pm, in
room 110, from September through May. The choir sings in the Sunday morning services
2-3 times a month and then special productions throughout the year (Christmas,
Easter, Spring Concerts, 4th of July).
* Orchestra Come join us as you use your musical
abilities in worship. The orchestra rehearses on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of
each month, from September through May, 12:45pm - 2:15pm in the worship center. All ages
and experience levels are welcome (beginning at Junior High) whether you are a student
or a professional. You do not need to audition to join. We perform about once a
month as part of the Sunday worship service.
Frequently Asked Questions about choir
- Are there any requirements for choir membership?
There are no set requirements to become a member of the choir. You do not
have to audition or have a solo voice. Though you may never have sung in a
choir before you may discover that it is a perfect way for you to participate
in leading worship.
If you have made a personal commitment of your life to Jesus Christ, have a
desire to honor God through music, and are willing to commit your time to
this ministry, then you are eligible to join.
- What kind of commitment does adult choir membership involve?
We rehearse from 6:30 - 8:45pm each Wednesday. This is an important time not
only to rehearse, but to join our hearts together in prayer and fellowship as
we prepare to worship and minister each Sunday. Sometimes there are special
once-a-month Sunday afternoon rehearsals in the fall in preparation for the
Christmas services in December. Free child care is available during all
rehearsals. There is also an overnight retreat in early October
for Christmas preparation. Sunday attendance is just as important as the
Wednesday rehearsal commitment. Because we are fairly large in number, it is
easy to think that one voice won't be missed on Sunday. However, each person is
important, and we therefore ask that you faithfully attend Sunday mornings too.
- In choir, we realize that ministry involves sacrifice.
Although ministry is rewarding and enjoyable, there are times when it means
true sacrifice. There are Sundays when all of us would like to sit in the
congregation or not come at all. We are tired; we stayed up late on Saturday
night. It would be easy to stay in bed "just this once."
However, by joining the choir, we have committed together to be accountable,
and to be faithful to the Lord as He enables us. Wednesday rehearsals are filled
with laughter and music. But sometimes, after a particularly hard day at work
or home, we would like to miss, come late, or leave early.
Again, we remember our commitment is first to the Lord. A verse we often
quote is
"I will not offer to the Lord that which costs me nothing"
(I Chronicles 21:24)
Ministering through choir is something we give willingly,
mindful that we are His servants. We invite you to prayerfully consider joining
your heart and voice in this vital ministry of Bear Valley Church.
