Adoption Ministry
Uniting children who need families with families who want children so that joy will be experienced forever in families that do not yet exist today.
Adoption in the Bible
  • Moses - by Pharaoh's daughter
  • Esther - by Mordecai
  • Jesus - by Joseph
  • Ruth - by Naomi
  • Sons of Joseph (many colors) - by Jacob (Gen 48:5)
...you received God's Spirit when he adopted you as his own children. Now we call him, "Abba, Father." For his Spirit joins with our spirit to affirm that we are God's children. And since we are his children, we are his heirs. - Romans 8:15-17
...to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God. - John 1:12
How great is the love the Father has given us so freely! Now we can be called children of God. And that's what we really are! - 1 John 3:1
How blessed is God! And what a blessing he is! He's the Father of our Master, Jesus Christ, and takes us to the high places of blessing in him. Long before he laid down earth's foundations, he had us in mind, had settled on us as the focus of his love, to be made whole and holy by his love. Long, long ago he decided to adopt us into his family through Jesus Christ. (What pleasure he took in planning this!) He wanted us to enter into the celebration of his lavish gift-giving by the hand of his beloved Son. - Ephesians 1:3-6

Here at Bear Valley
Hang around here long enough and you will realize how much adoption is a part of our Bear Valley family. We have families adopting newborns, children, and even teenagers. We have adoptions of children from overseas as well as from right here in Colorado. In the same way each of us when we come to Christ becomes "adopted" into God the heavenly Father's family.

Some families are driven to adoption due to infertility, being unable to bear children. Others sense that the Lord calls them to adopt a child. Children who are caught in the foster home system often dream of the day when somebody will come and welcome them into their family. Sometimes adoptions happen because of a tragic event, like the sudden death of birth parents. Others happen because families simply want to expand the culture and diversity of their families. Often there is a joy that comes with adopting a child into your family.

And since adoption is so abundant here we want to help those who are curious or interested in adoption. Within the adoption ministry you can find people and resources to connect with and find out more about the process. Find those with the same interest and passions as you in providing a family to children who would otherwise not have one.
