Peacemakers - Resolving conflict in a Biblical manner
Purpose
symbol of peace BVC Peacemakers' purpose is two-fold:
(1) teach Biblical principles of conflict resolution throughout Bear Valley Church and

(2) be available to BVC members and attendees, providing assistance in resolving conflicts in marriage, family, church, and work relationships.
We also help others in the community who request conflict resolution assistance. This assistance can take the form of either conflict coaching (advising one party in the conflict who requests help) or mediation (meeting with both parties in a conflict to facilitate a voluntary resolution).

Help in resolving a conflict can be requested by contacting the Peacemakers ministry at (303) 985-4000 x101 or . Also contact the Peacemakers ministry if you have interest in being part of the peacemaking team

Peacemaker Training
As a part of our ongoing commitment to build a "culture of peace" at Bear Valley Church, BVC Peacemakers offers the following resources for loan to small groups or classes:
  1. 4-week series on Peacemaking Fundamentals

Teach through Glorify God, Get the Log Out of Your Eye, Gently Restore, and Go and Be Reconciled using Peacemaker Ministries' teaching outline and notes (optional PowerPoint slides also available), including illustrative video scenarios "Peacemaker Parables"; teaching resources given to you in a 2-disc set (CD/DVD).

  2. 8-Week DVD-Based Peacemaking Series

This series uses the Peacemaking Church Small Group Study DVD set. Each session includes a teaching session by Ken Sande and an illustrative video scenario "Peacemaking Parable." This teaching resource is a 4-DVD set and includes an optional 4 additional sessions (if your group wants to do a 12-week study). Study guides for it are ordered from Peacemaker Ministries.

If you didn't go through one of these studies in January 2008, consider taking your small group or class through one of the above series. Contact Steve Murray (303-426-0083) for more information or to borrow one of these resources.

Also, the 8-week peacemaking series will be offered on Sunday evenings as part of the Quest classes beginning September 12, 2010.
