Bear Valley "hiking groups" exist to be points of connection in the body of Christ, offering friendship,
discipleship and encouragement as we grow together in our love for and obedience to Christ Jesus.
Don't hike those upward trails alone!
Bear Valley Church encourages you to join in a small group or "hiking group". Based on the "Climbing
Together the Upward Trails" A hiking group is an intentional gathering of people with similar interests
or in a similar age group meeting together on a regular basis with a common purpose.
It is usually informal and comfortable. It is person-centered and fun.
A hiking group can make the difference between just coming to church and actually experiencing having
a church family, between feeling spiritually stagnant and truly growing in your faith.
The warmth and acceptance that a hiking group offers creates the best atmosphere for relaxation,
spontaneous get-togethers, and building life-long relationships. It is also the best atmosphere
for spiritual growth, for asking questions, sharing struggles, and celebrating victories as we
progress together in our journey with Christ.
A hiking group is a place of sharing, healing and growing. It brings us into
community. In a society so filled with demands and pressures and crowds, it is a haven where we
can relax and get to know our Lord, His word, and His people.
- One way to get connected with a hiking group is to simply check the bulletin
for new groups that are forming, and call the number listed.
- If you have any questions about small groups please call
Chris Little, at the church office at 303-985-4000 or
.
- For a list of some of the different types of groups that are available see our
List of Groups And Classes brochure, available at the information center in the lobby.
Sunday mornings are a perfect time to connect with others at Bear Valley, and it all happens here at the church.
