The Chourys are active in Haven Ministries, whose focus is Christian Apologetics "where the rubber meets the road". Apologetics is a focus on explaining the facts and evidence behind faith in Jesus Christ and biblical principles. They have now returned from Brazil where they helped plant churches and train leaders through the seminary in Teresina. While there they also taught guitar and trained worship leaders. One of Jim's focuses while in Brazil was writing articles and short books to counter false teachers who have taken advantage of the shortage of adequate leadership in the rapidly growing Brazilian church.
