What is your role at BVC?
I am the Women's Pastor and also work at the Information Counter on Sunday mornings.
 
What is the best part about your role?
I love to see the women eagerly growing in Christ and connecting with each other in Bible studies and other groups. A small army of women make our fun events and service projects happen, lead groups, and pray for women. It's wonderful to see God's healing and hope happening.
 
What is your favorite thing about living in Colorado?
In my 20's I came to Colorado to work at a guest ranch and fell in love with the mountains and the whole state. It really is the best place in the U.S.!
 
What Bible character are you looking forward to meeting in heaven?
I'd be so humbly honored to meet Jesus' mother, Mary. I'd like to ask her how she coped with all the uncertainties and fears as a mother, and what her life was really like. I admire her very much, and I like her poetic, creative side too.
 
What is the one thing about you that would be surprising for others to learn?
People may be surprised to know that I have such a large family. With my mother and my nine brothers and sisters, and on down the family line, there are now 120 of us. And yes, I do know everybody!
 
 

Lois has been attending Bear Valley for 37 years and working there for 24. She graduated from Wheaton College in Illinois and felt called to Christian ministry. She loves missions, Bible study, and helping oppressed women around the world. Lois and her husband Wayne have eight children and 13 grandchildren.
