About Paul
Paul Eugene Hume was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota in 1928. He was reared in a semi-Christian home. However, his mother taught him and his brother the Bible. They had weekly Bible readings and memorization until his brother went into the Army.
Paul attended a Youth for Christ rally in 1948 and accepted Jesus Christ into his heart. He changed his major from chemistry to a pre-seminary course. He obtained a THM degree from Dallas Theological Seminary in 1955 and in 1983 graduated from California Graduate School of Theology with a DMin degree.
Paul pastored six churches, served as a professional counselor, a state prison chaplain, an adjunct professor at Colorado Christian University, and is the part time Care Pastor at Bear Valley Church.
Paul and Joyce have been married 53 years. They have 5 sons, 3 daughters-in-law, 5 grandsons, 3 granddaughters, and are expecting their first great grandson in 2009. They like to describe their marriage as a partnership of two unique people who bring out the very best in each other and are even better together as a team.
We invite you to come visit us at Bear Valley Church. YOU'LL LOVE IT LIKE WE DO!
